This is very much a work in progress but I will be spending time working on the page over the next week or two.

North of the city of Melbourne.

Home-cooked treats and high tea in a retro cafe with a pink caravan and a quaint courtyard.  Specialises in freshly baked scones about a dozen variations to choose from and  freshly baked to order.
Lots of gorgeous vintage goodies on display

282 Wingrove Street  Fairfield. Victoria
The most beautiful quilting shop, filled to the brim with gorgeous fabrics threads and gifts.  They also run classes.
It is located just near the Farfield railways station so is a great place to visit if you are in Melbourne without a car.

Nearby

An enormous selection of both quilting and dance fabrics.  Something for everyone, with new fabrics being added daily.

Darn Cheap Fabrics
Address: 113-115 Burgundy St, Heidelberg VIC 3084, Australia

Quilting and dress making fabrics.  This is one of those places that can be fabulous one day and have nothing you want the next week.  But if you are lucky, it is brilliant.

So you can combine these places into a lovely half day trip.

To the East of the City of Melbourne.

Take a day trip to Geelong

The Mornington Peninsula.
